Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Business Operations Manager to provide acquisition and advisory services in support of the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Hanscom AFB.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out program integration tasks such as developing, tracking, and updating integrated roadmaps and schedules for a large, multi-program portfolio. 
  • Track and inform portfolio expenditures, spend plan development, and build documentation to support financial requirements documents and processes. 
  • Utilize process improvement expertise to inform business operations, human relations, manpower, and internal resource utilization. 
  • Draft documents for the approval and signature of leadership. 
  • Coordinate, document, monitors, and supports a variety of meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

3+ years experience in a program or acquisition management role including at least 3 years in a DoD environment.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of acquisition programs.  Demonstrated experience in strategic planning.  Knowledge of support activities that assist the program manager in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines, be able to recommend viable solutions to problems, and the pursuit of alternative courses of action.  Able to assimilate information quickly, communicate effectively, and remain organized in order to monitor progress toward the accomplishment of various taskings and initiatives.  Knowledge and understanding of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.2, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force to provide strategic and tactical program planning (short-term, mid-term, and long-term plans).  Able to work proactively, with minimal supervision, and effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.).  Able to manage customer and other stakeholder expectations.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
