Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Communications Systems Operator (CSO) Liaison to provide technical support for an enterprise program at Joint Base Andrews.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Track and assist Executive Aircraft in flight with communications issues, respond to incident calls, and support trend analysis efforts.
  • Utilize various Command and Control (C2) tools, and chat software (e.g. Mattermost) to support Executive Aircraft while in flight.
  • Provide Government leadership with expert guidance on the operations of the Mission Communications System (MCS) on-board C-32, C-40, and C-37 Executive Aircraft.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting guidance to Communications Systems Operators on-board C-32, C-40, and C-37 Executive Aircraft during MCS anomalies and/or outages.
  • Review and provide recommendations on the effectiveness of flight monitoring solutions utilizing various web-based tools developed by Commercial Satellite Communications (COMSATCOM) providers.

Qualifications

8+ years experience in communications systems support.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Must have subject matter expertise of the Mission Communications Systems (MCS) of the C-32A, C-40B/C, and/or C-37A/B aircraft.  Able to work proactively and effectively communicate orally and in writing with all levels of an organization.  Able to work independently as well as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities.  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
