Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Data Manager to support information management and analysis activities at Wright-Patterson AFB.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering data management support for program requirements to include preparing or updating and maintaining any engineering data management plan. 
  • Provide technical support in the preparation of and conduct of engineering data guidance conferences and engineering drawing In-Process Reviews (IPRs). 
  • Provide configuration/data management-related research, analyses, studies, documentation, briefing development, and assistance in briefing delivery as required to support mission partner activities. 
  • Develop and manage the deficiency reporting/material improvement project review board processes, to include drafting the deficiency reporting charter. 
  • Assist with tracking all DRs, problem change requests, and test problem reports throughout the development of the system.  

Qualifications

10+ years experience in data or configuration management including at least 3 years working in a DoD environment.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Experience with the configuration management process and engineering documents.  Must understand distribution statements and FAR/DFARS data rights clauses.  Experience evaluating change proposals for impacts to data.  Experience monitoring the delivery and approval of contract technical data to include report generation and follow up actions and record maintenance in the AF Generation, Receiving, Integrated Tracking System (GRITS).  Experience performing HW and SW configuration audits.  Experience performing baseline administrative activities for multiple environments.  Experience developing briefings for management.  Able to enter and manipulate data in a database.  Strong attention to detail.  Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.  Able to work independently and with a team.  Experience in MS Office Suite software required.  Must have skills and experience necessary to work closely with program management, systems engineers, quality managers, and design engineers in an integrated product team environment.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
