Abacus Technology is seeking an Event Project Manager to support guest and event activities at Stennis Space Center.  This is a full-time position.

• Maintain long-range calendars and coordinate with event coordinators to ensure event milestones are complete. 
• Provide operational, information management and administrative support for all events. 
• Coordinate and support event leads, and track project objectives and milestones. 
• Provide all necessary project management and support functions. 
• Generate routine and/or ad-hoc reports for OCOMM management/OCOMM customers. 
• Directly interface with OCOMM management and/or OCOMM customers.

10+ years experience in event planning and management.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Must have strong supervisory and management skills.  Extensive experience planning events, coordinating with interested parties, and ensuring that guests and/or exhibitors are support.  Must be proactive, and customer and results-oriented.  Experience interfacing with managers at all levels and quickly resolving issues requiring tight deadlines.  Proficient in MS Office and internet research.  Must be a US citizen.
