Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Architect to act as a technical lead and provide network and infrastructure design for the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA).  This is a full-time position.

• Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.
• Design network and computer security measures.
• Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.
• Act as the technical lead and coordinate, plan, and oversee local contractor tasks and report activities back to the Program Manager.
• Manage surge requirements for technical infrastructure support.

12+ years experience in a network and technical infrastructure role.  Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.  Must be a Security+ certified.  Extensive experience with network design and implementation.  Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining network equipment with thorough knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls.  Experience with Cisco Multilayer network routers and switches.  Experience with network monitoring and management using an automated solution.  Able to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.  Able to provide technical guidance and direction to system administrators and help desk technicians.  Extensive experience with security as it pertains to network architecture, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).  Experience with DoD IT environment and networks.  Must have good communication skills and an ability to conceptualize network infrastructures.  Able to lead a team of technical staff and interact professionally within all levels of an organization.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI).
