Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Technical Intelligence Support SME to support sensitive program development for the Technical Advisory and Assistance Services (TAAS) program at Hanscom AFB.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intelligence supportability analysis of DoD/USAF Acquisition programs, systems, and processes.
  • Employ general engineering expertise to achieve technical understanding of a U.S. weapon system's intelligence data/infrastructure requirements to identify and minimize cost, schedule, and performance risks as early in the system's life-cycle as possible.
  • Participate in the Defense Acquisition Process by identifying the intelligence supportability needs of a weapon system or program across the entire acquisition life-cycle.
  • Provide Air Force programs/initiatives with high quality engineering and intelligence support.
  • Develop integrated threat/target/environment products tailored for specific weapon system acquisition activities.
  • Accomplish Technical Threat Risk assessments (TTRAs and TRA)s for programs and NC3 integration efforts identifying critical intelligence technical requirements and risks for programs to reduce vulnerabilities.
  • Prepare documentation for each assigned portfolio that identifies the portfolio's mission, leadership, battle rhythm, and intelligence support requirements, as well as the portfolio's threat stressors and intelligence concerns and acquisition intelligence requirements.
  • Identify, develop, and document portfolio-specific intelligence Production Requirements (PRs), and coordinate as necessary with the IC for portfolio-specific intelligence products.
  • Support the integration of current intelligence, acquisition intelligence, and technical intelligence into the development and sustainment of nuclear communications.
  • Determine technical intelligence engineering information/collection requirements in conjunction with the Intelligence Division Technical Intelligence Engineering team and the Intelligence Division Sensors and Data Management team, to include researching and gathering relevant IC data.
  • Participate in the Intelligence Teams effort to provide acquisition intelligence support to the program elements, which includes determining points of contact within the program elements, working with the program elements to develop their threat stressors and intelligence concerns, and coordinating this data with Intelligence leadership.
  • Analyze proposed weapon system performance capabilities; and team with program, operational MAJCOM, and intelligence analysts to decompose weapon system performance specifications and planned employment in order to define intelligence requirements and assesses adversary capabilities to develop, employ, and sustain the system throughout its life-cycle that mitigates threat.
  • Research and gather intelligence data, develop and present briefings, attend and participate in meetings, develop required documentation, and provide weekly status updates.
  • Contribute technical expertise related to intelligence and indications and warning that can inform 'left-of-launch' operations.
  • Participate in community of interest meetings and integrate intelligence analysis and intelligence operations activities related to communications defeat using a holistic approach.
  • Team with program, operational MAJCOM, and supporting functionals to determine optimum intelligence solutions and document the requirements to successfully acquire and employ future Air Force capabilities.
  • Utilize results of reviews to independently develop and recommend appropriate courses of action for both the program/project and the Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams, High Performance Teams, Analysis of Alternatives studies, Threat Steering/Working Groups, Technology Reviews, Pathfinder efforts, Intelligence Support Working Groups, and other forums as appropriate.
  • Attend meetings and decision forums to identify, discuss, defend, and/or integrate recognized intelligence deficiencies into a viable AF strategy for addressing intelligence shortfalls.

Qualifications

6+ years experience in engineering for acquisitions programs.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.  Experience contributing technical and engineering expertise to Intelligence Sensitive programs within AFNWC/NC and addressing specific intelligence requirements while assessing the impact of technically advanced threat and security support issues to reduce program and operational risks.  Able to provide system engineering and technical analysis level inputs in support of major acquisition decisions and in accordance with current acquisition guidelines.  Able to develop and staff Intelligence Health Assessments (IHA).  Able to identify intelligence requirements early in the lifecycle to minimize cost, schedule, and performance risks.  Experience supporting analysis of adversary emerging threats, briefings on various adversary capabilities, assistance in assess risk assessments, and providing recommendations to the team members to address and pivot threats.  Must have all-source intelligence experience.  Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
