Abacus Technology is seeking a CAD Specialist to develop and maintain drawings and schematics for Fort Johnson.  This is a full-time position.

• Work with design originators, prepare drawings or computer models of unusual, complex, or original designs that require a high degree of precision, perform unusually difficult assignments requiring considerable initiative, resourcefulness, and drafting expertise.
• Ensure that drawings consider potential problems during manufacturing, assembly, installation, and operations.
• Interpret general designs prepared by others to complete minor details.
• Provide advice and guidance to lower level drafters.
• Serve as coordinator and planner for large and complex drafting projects.

3+ years experience in a CAD role.  Experience with drawing support software and supporting IT/telecommunications cable plant infrastructure operating environment.  Must be able to interpret technical information and incorporate it into designs.  Proficient with MS Office or Microsoft 365 and Visio.  Must be detail oriented and maintain documentation related to projects.  Able to work independently or as part of a team and communicate efficiently with all levels of an organization.  Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
