Abacus Technology is seeking a Project Manager to oversee projects and lead a technical staff supporting the DoE Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS). This is a full-time position.
10+ years experience in information technology including at least 5 years in recent project management roles. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. PMP certification a plus. Experience providing supervisory, technical, and administrative direction to staff. Experience creating successful customer relationships and working closely with the agency senior staff and program/task managers to execute the program. Experience developing, implementing, and executing program management plans and procedures, work plans, schedules, and budgets. Experience planning, organizing, directing, and controlling overall activities of a project, including project management, technical work, quality of work, schedule, and costs. Experience using automated project management tools (e.g., MS Project). Experience with risk and problem management from identification through mitigation to resolution. Must be able to work closely with technical teams and government program managers with equal efficiency. Must be highly motivated, assertive, and have excellent communication skills. Must be a US citizen and hold a current DoD Top Secret or DoE Q clearance.
