Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Software Developer to provide development and systems administration at Picatinny Arsenal.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software solutions for Microsoft 365 using the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Monitor work orders and trouble tickets for status and compliance with established timeframes for work performance.
  • Support our Customer Support Team with software releases and image management.
  • Develop, test, and distribute new and enhanced existing software packages.
  • Develop Windows PowerShell solutions to enable customers to automate administrative responsibilities.
  • Work with customers to develop and analyze application packages and tools and determine optimum functionality requirements to meet those needs.
  • Evaluate existing applications and platforms and provide recommendations for system enhancements by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in the scope of modifications.
  • Build custom integrations to ensure data is moved in an efficient and secure manner.
  • Complete full life cycle application development to enterprise business applications including requirement analysis, system design, development, unit testing, implementation, testing support, performance tuning, maintenance, and postproduction support.
  • Monitor Tier 1 and/or Tier 2 server operations/performance using appropriate software applications and tools.

Qualifications

3+ years experience in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Powershell scripts or Microsoft Power Platform solutions.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Must be Security+ certified.  Experience with Microsoft Server and Windows Desktop.  Thorough knowledge of the software/system development life cycle (SDLC).  Able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.  Organized, attentive to detail, and willing to pursue resolutions to issues as they arise.  Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
