Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide technical support for the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB).  This is a full-time position.

• Conduct capacity and performance analysis and provide system configuration change and upgrade recommendations.
• Increase system administration efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develop system administrator procedures, and conduct system administrator training and skills assessment.
• Organize and perform system configuration and operation.
• Provide day-to-day system administration to include developing and executing data extract programs, system and resource optimization, defining interface architectures, and providing assistance.

4+ years experience in systems administration.  Associate’s degree in a related field.  Microsoft or VMWare certification desired.  Experience managing and responding to assigned incidents, work orders, change and service request using ticketing systems.  Experience supporting and maintaining systems in a blend of environments including on-prem and virtual using tools.  Experience with Windows Server (2012-R2, 2016, 2019), MS Azure, VMware, M365, Active Directory, DNS, and SAN.  Experience conducting vulnerability scans and developing mitigation strategies for vulnerabilities.  Experience providing applying software upgrades and applying DISA STIGs.  Experience designing, planning, and implementing new servers.  Must be a US citizen.
