Abacus Technology is seeking an Asset Manager to track assets and provide logistics support for the HQ Air Mobility Command Surgeon General Medical IT Services program at Scott AFB. This is a full-time position.
Provide asset management in accordance with AFMAN 17-1203, Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM). Provide inventory/configuration control of hardware and software, and document maintenance/warranty coverage for all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). Perform organization equipment custodian duties. Conduct physical inventories of all accountable items at least annually in accordance with Base Equipment Custodian Office (ECO) procedures. Review past inventory records before disposing of old inventory data and retain source documents to support current inventory records. Account for IT assets in appropriate systems of record and have Patient Movement Item Asset Tracking System (PMI ATS)-generated standard product (bar code) labels affixed when requested by the COR. Coordinate all IT asset transfers between accounts with the applicable ECO. Report all Found On Base (FOB) IT assets to the applicable ECO and accept accountability or distribute equipment as directed by the ECO. Take removal guidance from the base ECO on all shipments, transfers, donations, or turn-ins of excess IT assets. Conduct a joint physical inventory with the outgoing and incoming contractor, to include a government representative. Initiate the Reports of Survey (ROS) process according to AFMAN 17-1203 for any lost, damaged, or destroyed IT assets. Notify the applicable base ECO of excess IT assets immediately. Provide the base ECO a serialized, numbered list of any deployed IT assets. Receive and secure all IT assets, if not received by the ECO, until accountability is established. Maintain proper care of equipment incidental to place of performance. Except for those items specifically stated as incidental or GFE, the contractor shall furnish everything needed to perform this contract. Make equipment network ready with the Standard Desktop Configuration (SDC) and all applicable software packages required for customer support as requested by the COR.
6+ years experience in inventory and asset management. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Must be Security+ certified (or other certification in compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II). Must have strong background in asset and inventory management. Experience maintaining detailed records regarding shipping, loading, and storage of assets. Capable of producing and maintaining well-written documentation to meet management and contract requirements. Familiar with the full life cycle of the procurement process. Must be organized and detail oriented. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization and demonstrate strong customer service skills. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
