  • Overview

    Abacus Technology is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to provide technical support for the Pentagon.  This is a full-time position.

    Responsibilities

    Control, maintain, and store software work products, including COTS - ensuring complete traceability of changes through a documented change management process.  Create and improve CM processes.  Facilitate the Configuration Change Board (CCB).  Provide CM assessments and inputs to change requests.  Support the Agency with project tracking with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).  Interface with all engineering disciplines and program management.  Ensure delivery of reliable products to customers by maintaining consistent processes governing the coordination, tracking, planning, scheduling, and building of all software components.

    Qualifications

    3+ years experience in configuration management.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Must be ITIL v3 Foundations certified.  Experience in development or testing in a UNIX, Windows, or VMWare environment.  Knowledge and experience with IT governance and control frameworks (NIST, COBIT, COSO, ITIL).  Experience with build processes and an ability to lead or facilitate a Change Advisory Board (CAB) or Configuration Control Board (CCB).  Able to provide clear guidance and detailed planning.  Must have strong interpersonal skills.  Must be a team player able to work professionally and collaboratively with the government customer and other contract members of the project team.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a client focus.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
