    Abacus Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to provide technical support for the Pentagon.  This is a full-time position.


    Support the operations of cybersecurity applications, and appliances employed to defend the CCSA cyber terrain, to include but not limited to: Firewall Management; Host Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems Management; SIEM, e.g. audit log review and analysis; Vulnerability Scanning; Incident Response; technical analysis and troubleshooting assistance.


    3+ years experience in a cyber security role.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Must be IAT Level III certified (e.g. CASP CE, CCNP-Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH) in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01M.  Must have an in-depth knowledge of systems security engineering, systems security operations, incident response methodologies and general user behavior analytics.  Strong desktop application administration experience to include Microsoft Office, web browsers, and anti-virus applications.  Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to work in a multi-disciplined environment with an adaptive personality.  Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.  Analytical skills to troubleshoot IA issues.  Must be able to apply intensive and diverse knowledge to problems and make independent decisions.  Must be a team player able to work professionally and collaboratively with the government customer and other contract members of the project team.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a client focus.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
