Abacus Technology is seeking a PeopleSoft Developer to support customization and configuration for PeopleSoft Financial modules. This is a full-time position at Arnold AFB.
Interface directly with the customer to determine expected application functionality, gather requirements, and suggest technical solutions for business issues. Create technical design specifications. Assist with the configuration of applications software. Analyze, code, and test software (both new and changes to existing programs) from design specifications. Validate that the finished product meets the functional requirements. Generate complete and accurate documentation for work based on program standards. Provide production support for PeopleSoft applications including program analysis, testing and system enhancements. Identify applications bottlenecks and opportunities to optimize performance. Provide application support to include troubleshooting as necessary. Support Oracle development and database management as needed.
1+ years’ experience application development for PeopleSoft Financial modules. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. PeopleSoft or Oracle training and/or certifications considered a plus. Experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.x. Experience with PeopleCode and PeopleTools including Query, Process Scheduler, SQR, and Application Engine. Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL. Experience migrating to newer versions of PeopleSoft with minimal disruption to business operations. Must be proficient in all aspects of the system life cycle and have an understanding of large-scale system development. Able to adapt to the customer environment and develop an understanding of the business. Able to analyze complex inputs and translate data into well-defined system requirements. Comfortable interacting heavily with clients and end users to assess current state of systems and architecture, as well as future needs. Attitude, adaptability, and ability to learn are paramount. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be a US Citizen.
