Abacus Technology is seeking a Digital Imaging Specialist to support the multimedia team on the COMIT program at Johnson Space Center. This is a full-time position.
Support the Electronic Still Camera (ESC) console. Back up the mission lead with downlinked image documentation, processing, distribution, and archiving. Process imagery captured by Photo Acquisitions. Correct and post to Imagery Online and notify customers. Support film scanning. Print output including printing to multiple inkjet printers, mounting, and finishing.
3+ years experience in imagery. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office – specifically Excel. Familiarity with ISS operations a plus. Must be able to interpret and complete requirements outlined in customer requests. Must communicate well via phone, email, and face-to-face. Able to interact and coordinate with lab personnel to prioritize and successfully complete work requests. Able to effectively multi-task and work independently with little supervision. Must have an understanding of NASA policies, operations, and procedures. Able to maintain professionalism and service-oriented attitude at all times. Must be thorough and highly self-motivated. Must be a US citizen.
