Abacus Technology is seeking a Project Manager to oversee infrastructure projects at Fort Bragg. This is a full-time position.
Provide insight/guidance support services for military infrastructure construction projects. Provide expertise and technical opinions in meetings to support the NEC and other Army agencies such as the installation Directorate of Public Works (DPW) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Track and manage project status as assigned by the Branch Chief. Verify cost estimates are accurate and assist appropriate offices in resolving discrepancies before cost estimates are submitted to the customer. Review contractor inside and outside plant infrastructure installations to ensure good general construction installation practices and compliance with industry standards, such as BICSI Cabling standards. Provide conference and meeting minutes for review during the development and design phase of construction project. Provide project management support, such as assisting the Government Project Manager in preparing preliminary requirements documentation.
3+ years experience in an infrastructure support role. Must hold BICSI Technician certification. Must hold either the BICSI Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM) or PMP certification or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire date. Possess knowledge of inside plant, outside plant, and data switches infrastructure; general Cybersecurity knowledge; knowledge of network design and configurations (LAN, WAN, WLAN). Possess PDS Pathway design and installation experience; HOLOCOM certified installation, QA and design experience; and telecom project manager experience. Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Remedy/ITSM. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities. Must have outstanding oral communication and customer service skills. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
