Abacus Technology is seeking a Wireless Network Engineer to provide network and infrastructure support for Fort Bragg. This is a full-time position.
Establish and maintain wireless network connectivity for the ICAN at Fort Bragg. Design, install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot wireless environment to include wireless controllers, RADIUS authentication, SSID configuration and access points provisioning. Configure user access and guest access, and device authentication for wireless environment. Develop network system model and network system architecture diagrams. Provide Tier 3 level support via change control processes and procedures. Contribute subject matter expertise to improve-upon the enterprise’s networks as required. Monitor LAN infrastructure activity and performance for identifying potential security, speed, and performance utilizing LAN, QoS, VLAN, IOS, Netflow and SNMP. Develop/create system model and system architecture plans and designs, test plans, implementation plans, operation guides, and overall subject matter expertise for enterprise network solutions. Utilize available network troubleshooting tools, including network packet captures, monitoring devices, log files, and customer input in order to facilitate effective issues resolution. Install and configure networking resources such as LAN switches.
6+ years experience in a network administration or engineering role. Must be Security+ certified. Must hold either an Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) or CCNA-Wireless certification or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire date. Hands-on experience with physical network infrastructure (switches, routers). Experience with network implementation and maintenance. Knowledge of Cisco or Aruba wireless networking equipment. Experience conducting Wireless Site surveys including Active and passive type surveys. Able to maintain current knowledge and skills through in-services, workshops, and/or seminars. Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties. Experience leading teams to accomplish daily tasks and long term projects. Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
