  • Overview

    Abacus Technology is seeking a Principal Acquisition Management Specialist to support acquisition and sustainment management for the U.S. Air Force.  This is a full-time position at Los Angeles Air Force Base.

    Responsibilities

    Analyze program plan performance to determine deviations from the program plan.  Utilize the Program Contractor EVM (cost and schedule) information integrated with known technical progress and perform a comprehensive analysis of the technical, cost, and schedule performance.  Assess whether the program plan is on track to achieve the goal, notify the Government of discrepancies between the program plan and actual progress, and identify multiple options to correct the discrepancies.  Develop, maintain, and update the program office’s integrated master plan IAW DoD Integrated Master Plan and Integrated Master Schedule Preparation and Use Guide.  Analyze the Program Contractor’s integrated master plan to identify opportunities to improve program execution IAW DoD Integrated Master Plan and Integrated Master Schedule Preparation and Use Guide.  Develop, maintain, and update the SBIRS Sustainment and Space Based Environmental Monitoring (SBEM) program office’s integrated master schedule IAW the DoD Integrated Master Plan and Integrated Master Schedule Preparation and Use Guide.  Identify opportunities to improve program schedule executability IAW DoD Integrated Master Plan and Integrated Master Schedule Preparation and Use Guide.

    Qualifications

    15+ years experience in acquisitions and sustainment for Federal government programs.  Master's degree in a related field.  Must be able to work closely with technical teams and government program managers with equal efficiency.  Experience with MS Office.  Must be highly motivated and assertive.  Communication and organizational skills are critical.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
