  • Overview

    Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Administrator to provide administration and client/server management for an enterprise environment.  Abacus provides network and telecommunication support to the USAF for the SPPN program.  This is a full-time position in Saudi Arabia.  Special housing, travel, transportation, and education benefits are available as well as bonuses and incentive awards.

    Responsibilities

    Integrate computer and network systems into the network, which encompasses all LAN/WAN Internet access.  Conduct support activities in all phases of the systems development life cycle, from planning through operations.  Manage IP-related services.  Provide “Tier 2 level” problem resolution services and provide all information related to reliability and availability of all resources managed within the organization.  Operate, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, and switches.  Work directly with the Network Control Center (NCC) and SWACC to maintain the military network.  Setup, configure, and re-key Type 1 in-line network encryptors on a military non secure and secret networks.  Maintain responsibility for all encryption equipment used on the network.  Work with the Communications Security (COMSEC) manager to ensure approved encryption keys are available.

    Qualifications

    10 years experience in network administration with extensive Cisco experience.  Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer, Telecommunications, Information Systems or related technical experience.  Must be CCNA and Security+ certified.  CCNP and MCSE certifications desired.  Experience in operations, administration, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco Routers and Switches.  Able to manage Access Control Servers (ACS).  Experience with network management and monitoring software (currently CA Spectrum and WhatsUpGold) and network system backup using various backup applications.  Knowledge of network firewall configuration and management.  Experience monitoring network devices using CiscoWorks and/or TACACS+.  Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).  Familiarity with BMC Remedy.  Knowledge of Type 1 TACLANE in-line network encryptors on a military network.  Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally within all levels of an organization.  Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
