    Abacus Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support planning, executing, and monitoring the daily operations of the AF HBSS on the Air Force Network.  This is a full-time position at Hanscom AFB.


    Recommend improvements in existing methodology, processes & procedures.  Monitor incident response process and develop new strategies to track and manage open HBSS tickets.  Lead HBSS certification and accreditation efforts.  Analyze and evaluate HBSS design IAW NIST SP 800-53 & DISA STIG requirements.  Coordinate IA working groups and system design meetings to implement appropriate security measures IAW 8510.01 Risk Management Framework and NIST SP 800-37.  Develop HBSS Security Plan to comply with DISA STIGs.  Audit security controls, review open STIG findings, threats and vulnerabilities, advise on effective mitigation strategies and recommend solutions to close open CAT I & CAT II findings.  Work with McAfee Tier II/III Platinum support representatives to resolve technical issues with HBSS applications.  Collaborate with DISA and third party GOTs vendors on product development and integration.  Assist with installation, configuration, fielding, testing and troubleshooting of current and future McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator Enterprise Core Suite and Small Virtual Suites located at various AF installations.  Address technical problems associated with McAfee software and provide proactive support and mission-critical CCRI operational risk assessment support to AF operators at various locations (33rd, 561st, 83rd, and 299th NOSs, etc.).  Resolve functional and security issues with ePO applications; HIPS, ArcSight SIEM, VSE, DLP, RSD and other GOTS applications; Operational Attributes Manager, Asset Publishing Service and Asset Configuration Compliance Module.  Support product implementation and engage in hands-on implementation of ePO and associated GOTS products.  Analyze technical and integration requirements and develop effective technical solutions in HBSS Technical Requirement Document (TRD).


    5+ years experience in cyber security or information assurance.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong commitment to continuous learning and ability to work in a team environment. Desired experience: CISSP, DIACAP, eMass, STIGs, developer/architecture to relate to apps/services, test and system administration.  Must be a US citizen.
