  • Overview

    Abacus Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to provide security support for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Hanscom AFB.  This is a full-time position.  

    Responsibilities

    Provide cybersecurity expertise in support of AFWET program implementation of the MET, system sustainment, and related efforts.  Produce RMF packages for the program office.  Coordinate with site-level ISSOs and system administrators, ensure cybersecurity compliance via on-site SAVs, monitor cybersecurity software updates, ensure IAVM/IAVA compliance, and ensure DoDI 8570 compliance.  Interface with external Government Agencies, deployed Combatant Commands, Government Engineering and Installation teams, Government contractors, and local site personnel.  Evaluate cybersecurity plans for technical feasibility.  Determine mission suitability and preparation requirements for cybersecurity.  Draft and evaluate cybersecurity documentation, to include RMF packages.  Analyze proposed system changes for cybersecurity concerns.  Participate in cybersecurity and technology working groups and configuration control boards.

    Qualifications

    5+ years experience in cyber security or information assurance.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  DoD 8570 IAM I certification required.  Experience with the certification and accreditation process.  Significant experience in vulnerability scanning and analysis, including the use of automated tools and vulnerability management systems.  Knowledge of intrusion prevention and network access control tools/systems.  Understanding of system audit principles and security risk assessment.  Must have a solid understanding of network infrastructure and mission assurance.  Familiar with Federal government and DOD standards for IA/security including DIACAP, FISMA, NIST, and OMB.  Must have solid communications skills and be capable of working with all levels of an organization.  Must be willing to travel up to 25%.  Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
