Abacus Technology is seeking a Writer/Editor III to provide documentation support for the Marshall Space Flight Center. This is a full-time position.
Actively participates in brainstorming sessions to generate ideas, researches content, and develop clear, concise and compelling communication products based on agreed-upon communication strategies and concepts. Execute at all levels of content including complex, technical commentary. Conceptualize, develop, and write a wide-variety of communication products for broad audience consumption. Assist in the editing and proofreading of all communication products.
5+ years experience in writing and editing. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Graduate studies in a related field is preferred. Demonstrated ability to prepare communication materials that can be easily understood by a wide-range of readers. Project management experience preferred. Must be proactive, creative, and customer and results-oriented. Must be highly organized and possess strong communication skills. Experience interfacing with people at all levels of an organization to obtain or provide facts and information. Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team. Must be a US citizen.
