Abacus Technology is seeking a Writer/Editor II to provide documentation support for the Marshall Space Flight Center. This is a full-time position.
Perform developmental assignments that involve applying principles and techniques to edit, write, revise, and advise on a broad-range of internal and external communication products including: news releases, stories/articles for publication, reports, brochures, speeches, instructions, and announcements. Analyze subject matter and audiences. Utilize reference sources such as style manuals, subject matter specialists, research techniques, and writing practices/style requirements of traditional and non-traditional media.
2+ years experience in writing and editing. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Graduate studies in a related field is preferred. Demonstrated ability to prepare communication materials that can be easily understood by a wide-range of readers. Must be proactive, creative, and customer and results-oriented. Must be highly organized and possess strong communication skills. Experience interfacing with people at all levels of an organization to obtain or provide facts and information. Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team. Must be a US citizen.
