    Abacus Technology is seeking a Communication Strategist I to support planning for communication strategies at Marshall Space Flight Center.  This is a full-time position. 

    Responsibilities

    Develop and implement short and long-range communication plans including social media plans that use a variety of platforms.  Write/Edit communication products.  Coordinate and integrate communication approaches and products across multiple communication disciplines and a variety of social media platforms.  Develop, implement and integrate key messages across a full spectrum of communication products.  Contribute to high-level executive communications including quick turnaround responses.  Work with social media teams at other centers on cross-agency events and campaigns.

    Qualifications

    3+ years experience in research and analysis.  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Graduate studies in a related field is preferred.  Proficient at computer-based methods for data-retrieval, manipulation and presentation of data from large, complex databases.  Able to develop communication plans including social media plans that use a variety of platforms.  Must be customer and results-oriented; proactive; and highly detail-oriented/organized.  Proficient in MS Office and internet research.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required along with having proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.  Must be a creative and strategic thinker.  Able to multitask and operate in dynamic environments.  Must be a US citizen.
