Abacus Technology is seeking an Item Manager to provide logistics and inventory support for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Lackland AFB. This is a full-time position.
Direct, develop, and perform logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specific mission, weapons system, or other designated program. Identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program. Correlate those requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided at the right time and place.
5+ years experience in an item management or logistics position. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Knowledge of the acquisition life cycle and product support planning during each phase. Extensive experience with the defense acquisition management processes in accordance with the DoD 5000. Knowledge of the DoD’s integrated product support element structure. Familiar with the Product Support Business Case Analysis (PS-BCA) and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP) processes. Familiar with accomplishing a Logistics Health Assessment (LHA). Knowledge of the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook. Able to lead a project team in completing complex projects. Knowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systems. Able to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on time. Able to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program. Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project. Must be organized and detail oriented. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization and demonstrate strong customer service skills. Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
