    Abacus Technology is seeking a Database Administrator to manage and support information systems for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate.  This is a full-time position.


    Plan, develop, implement, and administer information systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data.  Analyze and recommend data requirements and specifications.  Design, normalize, develop, install, and implement databases.  Provide maintenance, monitoring, performance tuning, and backup and recovery for databases.  Install, configure, and maintain database management systems software.  Analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements.  Develop and administer data standards, policies, and procedures.  Develop and implement data mining and data warehousing programs.  Evaluate and provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.  Ensure the rigorous application of information security/cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of data management services.  Perform Microsoft SharePoint administration duties.  Provide technical support for the SharePoint environment including assessment and implementation of new capabilities.  Configure SharePoint services and settings.  Document SharePoint configuration and architecture.  Manage site quotas and file size limits.  Review and monitor usage reports.  Manage content databases and create new ones as required.   Administer and maintain sites.  Manage site layout structure and content.  Provide SharePoint support to end users.


    Positions available at multiple experience levels including junior (4 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree), mid (10+ years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree), and senior (12+ years of experience and a Master’s degree).  Degree must be in a related field.  Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.  Experience with Oracle or SQL Server database and application server administration.  Experience with projecting long-range requirements for database administration in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function as well as business function managers.  Must have good communication skills and an ability to conceptualize experience within database relationships using diagrams and explain how databases interact with one another.  Able to work independently or as part of a team and interact professionally within all levels of an organization.  Must be a US citizen.
