Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical support for the U.S. Military Training Mission (USMTM) J6 at Eskan Village, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). This is a full-time position.
Provide enterprise level systems engineering guidance on all technical matters relating to Communication and IT services in the USMTM environment. Act as technical lead for all enhancements/upgrades. Work with customer to translate needs into technical requirements. Propose solutions to meet customer needs/requirements. Take ownership of Change Management process. Develop Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates. Issue Requests for Proposal (RFP) and evaluate responses. Initiate/send procurement requests to Lexington Program Management Office. Proactively evaluate current systems and applications; propose improvements and/or enhancements. Develop Lifecycle Management Report. Prepare Technology Modernization Plan and IT Cost Reduction Plan. Update PMI Plan.
Provide support to the IA Officer in Cyber Security matters. This includes: applying expertise to highly sensitive government systems and networks requiring specialized security features and procedures. Support the development, implementation, and operation of ISS-enabling technologies, processes, and procedures into systems and networks. Provide leadership and guidance to C&A team members in the development, design, and application of solutions associated with RMF requirements.
10+ years’ experience in a systems or network engineering role. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience with engineering practices, techniques, and standards. Proficient with MS Office and MS Windows. IAT Level II certification required (CompTIA Security+). Able to communicate with management, technical staff and end users in a clear and professional manner. Able to represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff. Proven ability to understand the strategic and tactical approach to projects and handle multiple projects concurrently. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be a U.S. citizen, willing to relocate to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and hold an active Secret clearance.
