    Abacus Technology is seeking an Agile Software Developer with experience working and/or leading on all phases of application programming and software development life cycle activities within the Intelligence Community.  This is a full-time position.


    DULUTH EIT SERVICES:  Abacus Technology is hiring immediately for a recently-awarded large, long-term program.  Full Scope Polygraph is required. Abacus has been selected as a subcontractor to provide regional enterprise IT services and devices to the end-user workforce of a large Government agency located across the Northeastern United States. IT Services include campus area networks and local area networks supporting end user desktop/laptop/tablet, phone, printers, copiers, and wireless devices. DULUTH interacts with a Global Service Desk and provides data and status for regional enterprise services.


    Conduct design and development of software, determination of interfaces, and technical feasibility analysis.  Coordinate and perform requirements and implementation analysis, design, development, testing, and enhancement of application software.  Coordinate and/or perform integrations of COTS and other existing code.  Code, test, debug, document, and maintain programs.  Lead team tasks for configuring complex application programs from detailed specifications or developing, modifying, or configuring complex software applications from detailed specifications.  Draft detailed application coding specifications.  Lead all phases of applications programming and software development life cycle activities.


    Positions available at multiple experience levels including entry (0-3 years), mid (3-6 years), junior (7-10 years), senior (11-14 years), and principal (15+ years).  Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred for principal-level position.  Experience with web application and web service development.  Experience with Java, J2EE, and interface tools such as Eclipse.  Understanding of the fundamentals of iterative development.  Experience drafting detailed application coding specifications, leading multiple concurrent tasks for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems and applications programs, and experience with all phases of SDLC activities (senior and principal levels).  Familiar with Agile development principles.  SCRUM training and/or certifications a plus for the high level positions.  Able to work independently or as part of team and to interact professionally within all levels of an organization.  Experience supporting Intelligence Community customers is desired.  Must be a US citizen and hold an active/current TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.
