Abacus Technology is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to provide CM support and expertise in accordance with the customer’s CM policies and needs. This is a full-time position at the Department of State.
Manage the change management process for systems, software, and hardware Configuration Items. Maintain the organization’s CMDB (SBM). Manage CCB (local) and ITCCB (enterprise) activities. Manage the Source Code Repository (PVCS) and work with developers to check in / out all baseline code. Manage system and code baselines, including conducting periodic audits. Maintain document repository for customer organization. Track and control change requests for applications. Assist with procurement activities, such as CCB approvals and Cloud Computing Governance Board (CCGB) approvals. Track software licenses, warranties and maintenance agreements for COTS. Participate in integrated project teams and their meetings. Provide periodic and ad hoc reports regarding CM related statuses. Assist the customer with managing the directives management process, including the development of CM policies and procedures.
8 years experience in IT industry with experience in Configuration Management. Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or business. Must be a team player with a can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Configuration Management CMII Comprehensive (CMIIC) certification required. Must have strong analytical, planning and organizational skills. Must be a US Citizen and hold an active Secret clearance.
