Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking an Enterprise IT Service Management (EITSM) Technical Process Engineer under the Air Force Network Integration Center (AFNIC), located at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.  This is the United States Air Force's organization for Air Force Network integration, cyber simulation, and network standards, architecture and engineering services. Through these specialized technical services, AFNIC supports the nation's warfighters with decisive cyber capabilities for mission success.  This is a full-time position.

 

NOTE: The primary work site is Scott AFB, IL but remote work is allowed. Initial requirement is two work weeks per month of on-site time at Scott AFB, IL. Once initial efforts are streamlined on-site time may be reduced by one week per month depending on Government need.

Responsibilities

Support the AFNIC by consulting with leadership, subject matter experts (SME), program managers, operational leads and their staff on processes necessary to implement and manage process changes on the AFNET.  Document process workflows and support the implementation into the Remedy software tool.  Research and analyze current Air Force IT Service Management processes and request documentation to thoroughly understand existing processes and how they fit into the greater Air Force mission.  Provide process improvement recommendations as needed.  This can include modifying existing processes/workflows or recommending new processes/workflows.  Document new processes and update existing process documentation as needed.  Interpret and program existing IT Service management processes into the Remedy software tool.  Current major version is Remedy 8 but must be able to program processes into future major/minor versions as they are implemented.  Work closely with Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) EITSM design personnel to integrate AF requirements into the EITSM structure.  Educate coworkers and customers on new/modified processes as they are proposed/implemented.  Guide customers in their efforts to complete changes requests as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in IT Service Management process modeling and development experience in one of the following frameworks: Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Information Technology Service Management (ITSM), Defense Enterprise Service Management Framework (DESMF).  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Must be Security+ certified or able to obtain the certification.  In-depth knowledge and capability to develop/design/deploy processes and workflows in Remedy 8.1 software tool.  Capable of working independently and in a team environment.  Able to work multiple priorities simultaneously.  Interface with people at all levels in a professional manner regardless of communication medium.  Excellent verbal and written communications skills.  Occasional travel to other sites may be required, depending on meeting locations and Government need.  Must be a US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret clearance.
