Abacus Technology is seeking a SatComm Engineer to support the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Theater Deployable Communications (TDC) engineering efforts. This is a full-time position.
Develop and execute periodic updates to firmware, software and hardware used in support of all SATCOM modules, Network Command & Control - Deployed (NCC-D): Ground base Mobile Terminal (GMT): Voice (ICAP) and Wireless and RF technologies used throughout the TDC PMO. Provide technical guidance and review as needed Incident Reports and Trouble Tickets. Assist in the review of new technologies to improve RF based solutions. Work with vendors to resolve technical issues as they apply to various TDC PMO RF programs. These can include Aruba Networks, Cisco, Cambium as well as numerous other vendor products. Work with units to resolve issues that may involve hardware, software and setup issues. Act as the secondary engineer for various ICAP, NCC-D and SATCOM projects.
5+ years experience with RF communications and an indepth level understanding of military satellite communications, Wi-FI 802.11 networks, Cellular integration. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must be Security+ certified or able to obtain the certification. Desire experience with USAF SATCOM platforms. Must be a US Citizen.
