Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Network Support Technician to provide support for the CASC program at Lackland AFB.  This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to technical control facility hardware and software problems utilizing hardware and software testing tools and techniques.  Interface with contractor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or period of degraded system performance.  Assist with installation of terminals and associated hardware.  Provide network server support.

Qualifications

5 years experience in a technical support role.  Must hold one of the following certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, MCITP, CCNA, or MCSA.  Experience with Microsoft Windows 7/10 and Office 2010/2013.  Must have strong knowledge of PC/Network communications hardware/software, in a multi-protocol environment, and network management software.  In-depth knowledge of operating systems, applications, printers, and PC hardware.  Familiarity with a trouble ticket system such as ServiceNow or similar tool.  Experience with TCP/IP, WINS, and DNS.  Must have solid communications skills and be capable of working with all levels of an organization.  Must be a US Citizen and hold an active Top Secret clearance with SCI.
