Abacus Technology is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Analyst to support the software development life cycle. This is a full-time position at NASA Headquarters and local offsite facilities.
Review information systems, perform maintenance work, and identify and document all quality related issues. Create various test documentation including plans, conditions, and scripts based on technical and user requirements. Create test plans and approaches, translate user requirements into test scripts, perform setup and verification of test data, execute test scripts, and verify results. Implement software quality assurance program in support of software products and services. Establish software quality standards for life cycle, documentation, development methods, testing and maintenance. Specify functional and non-functional software requirements. Establish quantitative measurements and techniques for measuring software quality. Establish software test standards and methods and conducts software tests. Review and evaluate software products and services for adherence to government directives, standards, and guidelines concerning software quality assurance. Ensure projects and process control documentation is compliant with contract requirements, and objectives. Review software systems design, change specifications, and plans against contractual and/or process requirements. Include applicable specifications, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies. Provide or direct verification and validation of software system requirements, traceability, and testability.
Positions available at multiple experience levels including entry (0-2 years), intermediate (2-5 years), senior (5-11 years), specialist (11-16 years), and senior specialist (16+ years). Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s or graduate degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience. Must have or be willing to attend training in the following areas: CMMI; cybersecurity and sensitive unclassified information awareness; IT security awareness; and NASA elevate privileges. Understanding of software development principles, theories, and concepts. Able to provide solutions to a variety of software problems. At the specialist and senior specialist levels, must be able to develop and manage complex solutions with minimal supervision or guidance and handle a wide degree of latitude. At the specialist level, capable of representing the organization as prime technical contact on contracts and projects. At the senior specialist level, able to serve as the organization spokesperson on projects and/or programs and act as an advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies. Solid communication skills are critical. Must be a US citizen and hold an active Secret clearance.
