Abacus Technology is seeking a System Engineer to provide Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) support for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position.
Act as the lead OSS&E person on the following QRC programs: ANGI, CID Server, and FEURY. Assist the BACN OSS&E lead, when necessary. Manage the full OSS&E process across the spectrum of ANGI, CID Server, FEURY, and BACN efforts to include airborne and ground operations.
5+ years experience in a system engineering role. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Must have experience with JUON/UON/Quick Reaction Capability programs, OCONUS operation-related OSS&E activities, electronics/communications equipment, software, and aircraft-specific OSS&E activities. Familiar with Air Force OSS&E baseline documentation, processes, and procedures. Experience working on each stage of the system development life cycle from initiation through deployment/sustainment. Able to communicate with management, technical staff, and end users in a clear and professional manner. Experience with engineering practices, techniques, and standards. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to develop and present technical presentations. Able to represent complex data in diagrams or through other techniques that communicate precise information to both business and technical staff. Proven ability to understand the strategic and tactical approach to projects and handle multiple projects concurrently. Must be willing to travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites when necessary. Must be a US Citizen and hold an active Secret clearance.
