Abacus Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to provide security support for the Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Hanscom AFB. This is a full-time position.
Produce Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages for the program office. Coordinate with site-level lSSOs and system administrators, ensure cybersecurity compliance via on-site SAVs, monitor cybersecurity software updates, ensure IAVM/IAVA compliance, and ensure DoDI 8570 compliance. Interface with external government agencies, deployed combatant commands, government engineering and installation teams, government contractors, and local site personnel. Evaluate cybersecurity plans for technical feasibility, determine mission suitability and preparation requirements for cybersecurity, draft and evaluate cybersecurity documentation, to include RMF packages, analyze proposed system changes for cybersecurity concerns, and participate in cybersecurity and technology working groups and control boards. Identify and assess enterprise cybersecurity standards. Develop and implement cybersecurity standards and procedures. Coordinate, develop, and evaluate security programs for an organization. Recommend cybersecurity solutions to support customers’ requirements. Identify, report, and resolve security violations. Establish and satisfy security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. Support customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies. Apply know-how to common user issues for government and commercial systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures. Perform analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures. Analyze and define security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers. Design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions that meet security requirements. Provide integration and implementation of the computer system security solution. Analyze general cybersecurity related technical problems and provide basic engineering and technical support in solving these problems. Perform vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle. Ensure that all information systems are functional and secure.
7+ years experience in cyber security or information assurance. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Must be IAM Level I certified. Experience with the Assessment and Authorization process. Significant experience in vulnerability scanning and analysis, including the use of automated tools and vulnerability management systems. Knowledge of intrusion prevention and network access control tools/systems. Understanding of system audit principles and security risk assessment. Must have a solid understanding of network infrastructure and mission assurance. Familiar with Federal government and DOD standards for IA/security including DIACAP, FISMA, NIST, and OMB. Must have solid communications skills and be capable of working with all levels of an organization. Must be willing to travel throughout CONUS and overseas up to 25% of the time. Must be a US Citizen and hold a Secret clearance.
