Abacus Technology is seeking an Oracle Developer to support customization and configuration for Oracle Work Asset Management modules and Oracle Business Intelligence. This is a full-time position at Arnold AFB.
Create and maintain Oracle source code. Interface directly with the customer to determine expected application functionality, gather requirements, and suggest technical solutions for business issues. Create technical design specifications. Assist with the configuration of applications software. Analyze, code, and test software (both new and changes to existing programs) from design specifications. Validate that the finished product meets the functional requirements. Generate complete and accurate documentation for work based on program standards. Provide production support for Oracle applications including program analysis, testing and system enhancements. Identify applications bottlenecks and opportunities to optimize performance. Provide application support to include troubleshooting as necessary.
1+ years experience in Oracle PL/SQL (Procedural Language/Structured Query Language) and/or Oracle Business Intelligence developer tools. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Oracle training and/or certifications desired. Experience with Oracle Work Asset Management modules and/or Oracle Business Intelligence is desired. Experience migrating to newer versions of Oracle with minimal disruption to business operations. Must be proficient in all aspects of the system life cycle and have an understanding of large-scale system development. Able to adapt to the customer environment and develop an understanding of the business. Able to analyze complex inputs and translate data into well-defined system requirements. Comfortable interacting with clients and end users to assess current state of systems and architecture, as well as future needs. Attitude, adaptability, and ability to learn are paramount. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be a US Citizen.
