  • Overview

    Abacus Technology is seeking a Test Engineer to support QA and testing for software and web applications within the Intelligence Community.  This is a full-time position.

    Responsibilities

    Participate in the testing phase for all projects.  Design, develop, and implement testing processes and procedures.  Interface heavily with all key parties to identify the business needs/requirements and expected uses to establish testing parameters.  Coordinate test planning and execution.  Develop and maintain testing timelines and related interfaces with all stakeholders and internal/external working groups.  Identify requirements for testing operations and support, including selection of hardware and software for testing.  Identify and document IT infrastructure, systems, and support elements related to testing.  Develop and review test plans and test cases for testing of hardware and software.  Coordinate and schedule management of testing-related aspects for product deliveries and installations.  Establish project task lists (work breakdown structure) and schedules related to testing and manage those structures.  Provide testing-related guidance and expertise to the team as required.

    Qualifications

    1-3 years experience in testing across the software development life cycle (SDLC).  Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  Experience participating in the test phase of the SDLC.  Must have test experience with GUI from a marketplace perspective.  Experience writing and executing integration/regression test products.  Knowledge of Java and an understanding of JBOSS.  Experience testing workflows and the role of the guvenor.  Experience with JavaScript a plus.  Knowledge of Agile with JIRA.  Experience with SQL Developer, understands how to log into database and manipulate data to initiate software during work-around steps.  Understands Unix/Linux and Windows line commands to open and read and interpret log files.  Experience developing test plans and test cases.  Possess a broad knowledge of the quality assurance process as it applies to testing and evaluation of software applications and mission systems.  Experience supporting Intelligence Community customers is desired.  Able to communicate with all levels of an organization.  Must hold a current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).
